Research & Personas
BehaviorWorks from home but spends at least 3 days a week (meetings & remote work)
She has a few hours between meetings & wants to sit down to get some work done or take a phone call
She is not familiar with part of the city she’s in so spends a lot of time looking for a good place to do work
Frustrations
It takes a long time looking for a place to work which she sees a big waste of time and stressful if she needs to get work done
When she finds a place to work she realize there’s not a reliable Wi-Fi signal, no restrooms or that she needs to spend money to stay there. She either has to stay or leave to new place.
Goals
She wants to spend less time finding spaces to get work done
She wants to find places that have basic amenities she needs
She wants to find somewhere that isn’t too crowded or noisy incase she meet someone or take a phone call.
Day 2: solutions
Understand the Problem
After reviewing research & personas I saw many features that could be put in the application.Finding a place to work > Go through filter > Select choices you want > Search > 3-4 options > Images > Map > Finds Place to work
Choosing a Place > Images > Reviews > Checklist (free wifi, restroom & etc.) > Distances > Map >
User chooses 1 optionLooking at map > shows on map where to go with a colored line > more than 1 option to choose > shows fastest option > transportation options > popup of directions > User choose 1 way of getting to place
Looking at Images > Couple or more images > Scroll horizontally > Click on individual photo to enlarge > Images show people, place, restroom > User knows what the place offers
Lightning Demos:
Lighting Demo is a structured show and tell with a group pf people. The group gathers inspiration and ideas. All of the participants will gather images which i have three specific images that gave me inspiration for the PostUp App. The next slide sill show more detail about this process.
In addition in Lighting demos people talk about why those designs or images inspire them. So, In these boxes I explained why each design helped me think about what to create for the users who are using PostUp.Tuckers
I like that right when the user opens the website that they have how many days they are open in a week, times when they serve breakfast or lunch and that they say they have takeout & dine-in.
Maps
I like that google maps has a list of amenities, different types of crowd and how long it takes to get into the restaurant. I feel like that is useful for anyone who wants to go to eat there.
Flight Coffee
I like that they talk about their seat arrangement outside and inside of the restaurant. The restaurant talks about their location and the transportation that is around them. In addition, they talk about their owners.
